About James

My Journey

My name is James Conor and I'm a singer/songwriter from Fife, Scotland, currently reacquainting myself with my Irish roots here in Belfast. My Debut EP, Entry Point, is an acoustic homage to rich cello and string melodies together with piano and acoustic guitar and was released worldwide on 21st October 2016. As a high school music teacher, I pursued the challenge of creating new interpretations of classic pop songs. Breaking down a dance track into string, piano, guitar and vocal parts was a great way to connect with the pupils. I have brought this approach to my career as an independent musician and love to bring new twists to classics during my cover gigs. My focus now is on releasing my first studio album and experimenting as a writer, producer, performer and session player. I love playing solo gigs with my guitar, cello, piano, loop pedal and Bigfoot Stomp Box and I thoroughly enjoy interacting with my audience. I am also a member of The Marty Fay Band, one of Ireland's top wedding bands.
